New Year

Our New Years Resolution:  Focus on the Family
The last two years (post school) we have been crazy busy. We set some financial goals that would cause us to budget, rent for even longer and put off some of our wants. Mike worked a million jobs and was gone A LOT! I was a single mom.  We have reached those goals.  Phew!
We are now refocusing on what is much more important and needed, our Family.
What exactly are we going to do? Nothing crazy, just shift our mindset a bit, relax and enjoy.
Everyone has a job.
Mom:   family meals at dinner table each night and FHE lesson or activity each week.
Dad:  work a lot less, in charge of scriptures and prayer each night.
Kennedy: be moms helper with baby, try her best to be more patient with Sophie.
Sophie:  sit quietly and listen during lessons, scripture and prayer and not terrorize new baby.

We are hoping to spend more time as a family during movie nights, camping, bike rides, playing games and traveling.

We have been discussing what we'd like to see happen this year for each of us, here are some of the ideas that were mentioned.
Kennedy wants to do a kip in gymnastics and have a good year as she starts competing.
Sophie better be potty trained and be able to dress herself this year.
Mom wants to lose the baby weight from all three of her babies...he he.
Mike wants to work less and play more.
Mom and Dad want to go on a fun trip for their ten year anniversary.
Mom wants to take the girls to Disneyland for her birthday, just the girls because Dad hates Disneyland
Mom wants to know why the little boy in Dad has died (just kiddin)
Soph wants to go to Disney on Ice
Mom wants to furnish and decorate the new house
We all want to camp more

I love this post! So excited for you guys and all the great family time you have coming up in 2012! Nothing like a brand new baby to keep you all home-bound for a little while...can't wait to see pics of the little bundle when he gets here.
p.s. Kris and I bawled like babies when we watched Warrior too....I almost had an anxiety attack and Kris had sweaty feet (a sign of intense nerves for him) wondering who was going to win! Such a good movie.
p.p.s. I couldn't comment on your Facebook status cause my phone is the WORST.
