My fabulous mother in law is quite the celebrity these days. Not only was she in an ad in the Salt Lake Tribune but she has also published a Christmas Book. Last day of preschool
Here's Ken doing one of the centers that they can choose to do in the morning. They have areas for math, art, letters, dramatic play and reading. They have been learning about farms this week and even got to make butter today.
Kennedy made little bags with pilgrims on them for each of her SIX teachers. The bags had cookies inside. Here she is showing Ms. Deana her treat.
The AMAZING Ms. Amy! Kennedy looks like she belongs to her don't ya think?
I am starting to get incredibly sad that we are leaving the amazing ward, friends and area that we have been living in for the last year and a half. This Sunday will be our last in our ward and I am so sad to leave the great friends I have made here. I am packing up our house and getting ready to move on to wherever we are headed next. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear news of a job (hopefully sooner rather than later).Posted by SummerV at 5:03 PM 0 comments

Light at the end of the tunnel
In case you haven't noticed on our ticker we are down to less than a month before Mike becomes an official CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist). A lot of people have asked questions about post graduation so I thought I would answer them here:
1. Do you have a job or know where you are living after school? Not yet. We will be hearing back from jobs next week.
2. Where are you hoping to end up? We would love to stay in Colorado but there may not be a job. North Carolina is looking promising and exciting (I have always wanted to live back east). Other possibilities are Texas, Virginia Beach or Washington.
3. Do you want to go back to Utah? We are okay with not being in Utah for now- we figure when will we ever get to have an adventure like this and live somewhere fun and new? We will hopefully end up in Utah eventually since both of our families are there and our wonderful friends but honestly jobs just aren't as great there.
4. What are you most excited for when you graduate? TRAVEL! I miss going on trips with and without our kids. Having my husband back- no more wacky hours and endless studying. Buying and decorating a house. New clothes =)

Halloween Extravaganza
What a darling little chick.
Is it just me or did Halloween seem to last FOREVER this year? We had a great Halloween but it seemed to last a week long with our kids because they were over-sugared and so ornery by the end of the week that we had all had it.
We decided to have a little Halloween Party this year and it was a lot of fun. We wished that we could have invited more of our friends but our house is fairly small and it was packed as it was so it was probably best that we kept it somewhat small. One of our activities was bobbing for apples, the men got pretty into it. One of our friends actually put about half his body in the water all for the sake of an apple.
Here are some of our darling neighbors and friends from the party. The kids participated in a Halloween Parade to show off their costumes and we gave out awards for the funniest, scariest, most original and first place overall. The kids also decorated pumpkin cookies and cupcakes.
Kennedy went as Alice In Wonderland (my mom made the costume), Sophie was the white rabbit (her costume was Ken's old one and was VERY small but it worked), Mike was a doctor (nothing like a free costume) and I was a witch. Surprisingly after the entire night I realized I hadn't gotten a picture of me, darn.Posted by SummerV at 2:28 PM 3 comments
