Sophie started preschool about three weeks ago. Once she turned three they tested her and she qualified for free preschool through the school district. I know three weeks isn't long but I thought it would be nice for her to get a feel for it and any interaction with other little kids is good for her speech and so we went for it.

The pictures are a little out of order here but the kids had a little graduation the last day of school complete with balloons and cupcakes. Soph thought it was someones birthday so she kept saying "Happy Birthday." No matter how many times I told her it wasn't a birthday party she just kept saying it.

Each day I would drop her off would be a little dramatic. She is use to spending every second with me and can you blame her for being a little sad about having to change all that? She would growl and cry a bit sometimes but the other kids in the class were darling and really tried to help her feel comfortable. When I would pick her up she would give me the look of death as if to say "how dare you leave me here again lady." She would stand up hunch her shoulders over and growl on her way to me. I would ask her each day, "Did you have a good day at school?" "No" or "Nope" was usually her reply. Before you think I am the meanest mom ever, the teachers said she was always good at school and seemed to be having a great time.

I could eat that kid up she is so darn cute. She is talking and singing like crazy lately and it is so fun for her to finally be able to express herself. I caught her one night at 2am singing "I know you I walked with you once upon a dream" in her bed. Very cute.
