Is it seriously almost August? My how time flies. Here is Kennedy with Ray and Ali (brother and sis) after tennis lessons. Summer tennis has been interesting. It started out fine but after her first session she got a horrible teenage girl as the coach and she has been awful...so we are basically dragging ourselves out of bed to get there at 8:00 and watch the kids goof around. She never corrects them or helps them...even Kennedy said "Mom, doesn't she know that it's okay to criticize us? That is how we learn." She has enjoyed working on her sassy walk though, I have a great video of her hitting the ball and then sassy walking back to her spot in line but for the life of me I can't get it to load (too big of a file) so I'll leave that one to your imagination. After tomorrow we are done with tennis and she starts soccer at the end of August.

This weekend we went to
Salida to visit our friends Justin and Lacey. On our way home we stopped off in Tiny Town, an adorable little place in the mountains with tiny houses and stores and a train that takes you through the town. Kennedy loved it all. Sophie was not a fan. The train had a loud horn and it scared her to death.

The building above is suppose to be a replica of the Adams Family house.

The train.

We had so much fun seeing our friends and their darling kids. We met up with them the night we arrived and went to a night movie in the park. The next day Mike and Justin went on a mountain bike ride that was almost 40 miles...Mike about threw up when they got home. Justin however was nearing his 100
th mile for the week and was doing just fine (he is on a road bike team). After the guys got home we all went swimming at a hot springs in the mountains. It was beautiful and warm and had a fun slide which the kids were crazy about. Sophie laughed hysterically each time we went down and Kennedy never wanted to stop sliding. Our last day the guys were roped into moving some hay for a co-worker of
Justin's so Lacey and I took the kids to the fish hatchery (which they loved), the park (where Sophie flew off the merry go round) and then to get
slushies at
Sonic because we all thought we were going to melt. I had so much fun catching up with Lacey and seeing their family and the girls couldn't get enough of the little boys and their awesome slide bed with a fort underneath.

Yesterday Kennedy pulled out her second tooth. She put it under her bed and
woops the tooth fairy forgot to take the tooth and leave money. It may have had something to do with the fact that Mike and I were at the movie Inception (incredible movie) until late but Kennedy said "oh it must have been because I kept checking under my pillow all night and the tooth fairy was afraid I would catch her." So wouldn't you know it that darn tooth fairy left some money and snatched that tooth while we were at tennis lessons.
Crisis averted.

Super Cute! I love how you can just see Kennedy's personality overflowing in the pictures. She is quite a little lady, and sophie is adorable! It looks like you're having a great summer, and yes can you believe it's almost August! School supplies are out, and I'm having urges to go buy them. Frightening isn't it?
Did you got to Mount Princeton Hot Springs?? Love that place! Now, hurry up and get home!
