Caribbean Cruise

Mike and I just got back from a cruise in the Caribbean with our traveling buddies Shane and Jenna. We had such a great time, it was paradise! Above is the route we took on our cruise and the islands that we went to. We didn't make it to Princess Cays because we had a 5 hour power outage on our boat our first night at sea so sitting dead in the water made it impossible for us to make it there. Although we were disappointed, it was nice the the amount they credited us paid for all of our tips and our excursion. Get ready for lots of pictures, they are a bit out of order so try to follow. Before that I have to share how much I missed my girls and yet when Kennedy was asked by her Uncle David if she missed us she replied, "not really, they're pretty lame." Ouch.
Here we are in St. Thomas. We took a ride/tour of the Island and then were dropped off at Sapphire Beach which was beautiful. This is a pic at the top of the mountain. Shane and Jenna grew up with Mike and were backyard neighbors who eventually feel in love. He's a nurse and she's a teacher, we have a ton in common and always have so much fun traveling together.

Mike and Shane chasing iguanas. Mike lassoed one with a tie on his mission, he was trying to recreate the moment but it didn't work out. Instead it headed straight for Jenna and scared the crap out of her.

Sapphire Beach, the picture doesn't even do it justice the water was ridiculously blue.
Mike and I gazing into each others eyes. Such clear water you can see straight to the bottom.
Mike and Shane after some snorkeling.
Beautiful St. Thomas.
Taking a drink break in St. Marten..it was crazy hot! From that point on we lived in our swimsuits which for anyone that knows me knows that was a desperate measure but it was desperate times people!

This is Grand Turk. It was our favorite Island, the water was unreal! I could not get over how clear and blue the water was, it was literally paradise! We did a shore excursion here, snorkeling and a short "hike".
After getting off our boat we took a smaller boat to this small island in the middle of the ocean to snorkel.

We saw some beautiful fish while snorkeling and then came back to the main beach and swam.
On our snorkel boat.
We hiked to a ruin built by slaves during the time of Columbus.
After our cruise we stayed in Ft. Lauderdale for a night so we headed out to the Everglades. We saw some crocodiles and turtles and some nasty spiders. We also walked through these incredible mangrove forests. While there we spoke with a guy who had a finger removed after a water moccasin (snake) bit him, he then showed us where a car had driven into the crocodile infested waters just the night before.

The time on the ship was so fun and relaxing. We ate yummy food, watched movies on the big screen under the stars on the boat and went to some fun singing and dancing shows.

Thank you so much to my parents and David and Niki for watching the kids and for everyone else that helped out...we are so lucky to have you so that we are able to get a break and know our kids are well taken care of.

Looks super fun! We have become cruise people too, and just wish we could go even more often than we do! :) Glad you had a great time.
