5 years old

This little gal is now...5 years old! I can't believe my little Kennedy is 5 years old, although at times she seems to act as though she is 16. She was so excited all week to turn 5, she thought she would magically grow out of all of her clothes because she had aged so much. She was happy to inform me that "my clothes still fit even though I am a whole year older mom." I love the way kids think about things, it is so funny. For her birthday Ken and I went to lunch, to the new 'How to Train Your Dragon' movie and to Build a Bear (thank you Grandma Colleen)
Here is Ken's newest addition to her build a bears, her Grandma Colleen buys her one each year but since Grandma is in China...we feel so bad for her, we went and made it without her. We also picked up a couple of fish, Isabel and Phineas (Phineas and Ferb). Ken also got a doll house, clothes, sleeping bag, a few movies and cd's and a snapfish book about her last year of life. Mike informed me I need to scale back on birthdays next year...oops.

We invited some of our good friends over tonight for cake and Ken was thrilled to have so many people singing happy birthday to her. We are thrilled to have so many great friends here. It was a gorgeous day and the kids played outside and had a lot of fun.
The Mickey Cake in honor of our trip to Disneyland in a few weeks. Whoot Whoot!

5 is awesome! I'm sad that she didn't grow out of her clothes. I am glad she is wrong about that one. I would be HUGE if I grew out of my clothes every year.
