It's Christmas Eve!

Everyday since December began Kennedy has tried her darndest to convince me that it is Christmas Eve. It's pretty funny and cute. She is so excited. Her little friend gave her a dress that is black velvet on top and sort of a red tutu on the bottom and Ken has lived in the thing since she got it and is making up "Christmas Ballets" each night that she performs for us. I can remember turning all the lights off in our front room and singing to the lit up tree for hours so I can see where she gets her dramatic side.
I found some little dresses for the girls and brought them home to make sure they fit (the girls were awful at the store). Within 5 minutes of having it on Sophie threw up all over hers so...I guess we're keeping them. This was the only descent picture I could get of them.

We bought a Gingerbread house kit the other night at the store and early that next morning Kennedy wanted to get going on it (hence the pajamas) She had so much fun and I think it turned out okay. Now it is falling apart because every chance she gets Kennedy sneaks some of the frosting.
Below..Kennedy was trying to build a snowman with her one hand (could only find one glove). After trying to roll a snowball with one hand she got incredibly frustrated and started throwing snowballs at the fence so I filled up a few squirt bottles with water and different colors of food coloring and she sprayed the snow and made colorful designs. She had a great time drawing pictures in the snow.
I am getting so excited for Christmas. We got Ken an American Girl doll and my mom has pretty much sewn a whole wardrobe for the doll with a few things for Kennedy to match her doll. I did get some actual American Girl clothes and when I got them in the mail the other day I kept opening the boxes and looking at them because they were so stinkin cute! I wanted to get out her doll and try the outfits on but I thought that might be taking it a bit too far.

Summer, I just miss you. I read your blogs, and I can almost hear your voice just like you were telling me the story. I can also hear that cute giggle that you always have too! I'm so excited for Christmas too. Your girls look so cute in their dresses, and the gingerbread house looks awesome! Kennedy sounds hilareous. HMMMM, wonder where she gets that from?

I love the colored water in the snow idea. If only we had snow. :( I am with you on the american girl stuff. It is pathetic. Ryan just can't quite understand. I have gotten a big out of control this year with it.
