Well there really is nothing like driving from Salt Lake to Denver and arriving 15 hours later. It is suppose to be an 8 hour drive. We stopped off in Fruita to see Mike's brother Mark and his fam (for an hour) and to pick up his new mountain bike and then headed home on I-70. Once we got to Vail, Colorado they told us the freeway was closed and would be for three hours minimum. Well you can imagine our excitement. We arrived in Vail at 5:30 and didn't get back on the freeway until 9:30. We hung out with the girls in the car, stopped off at a little pizza place and then back in the car for a few hours, watching shows, reading and playing games on the iphone. We were so happy to get home to our beds last night! Our trip to Utah was nice. We stayed with Mike's Mom and had two Thanksgivings one with his family at 1:00 and then with mine at 4:00. We always enjoy talking, playing games, going to movies, playing rock band, eating and laughing with our family and friends. Now we are thrilled to be home so we can listen to Christmas music, watch Christmas movies, make crafts and treats, go shopping and play in the snow!

My fav Christmas movie is White Christmas and Fav song is...There are so many to choose from, I would have to say this year it's "I want a hippo for Christmas, sung by Shirley Temple. It sounds like you had quite the adventure over Thanksgiving. Glad you got home safe.
Bummer about the trip home. Glad you made it back safely. My favorite movie is White Christmas w/Bing Crosby and my favorite Christmas song is Josh Groban singing "O Holy Night."
MISERABLE! We did that once. Well it was Dallas to St Louis and we were at a deadstop on the highway for 5 hours. The cops were giving tickets if you crossed the median to go back to Springfield. It was freezing and AWFUL!

but I LOVE "Mary Did You Know" and soooo many people sing it now. I like Michael English's version prob the best.
Wow, that would be so crazy to spend that much time with two small children. I'm glad you made the best of it.
My favorite movie is 'A Christmas Story'. So many classic quotable lines. My favorite song is Feliz Navidad. It makes me feel like I know two languages, when in fact I don't.
Sorry about the trip. We were stopped due to a closed highway 30 miles from my parents house at Christmas 2 years ago. That stinks! I'm undecided and just love the being able to sit down and watch any Christmas movie. Glad to hear you're home safe and sound!
I'm glad you got home ok. 15 hours however doesn't sound the most fun! I LOVE the pictures of your girls in their Christmas pjs. SOOO Cute!!! My favorite Christmas songs right now are off of Hilary Weeks Christmas CD - I like "Christmastime" and "God Bless your way". As far as Christmas movies I am in the market for a few good ones too. We just watched polar express for the first time the other night and Taylor loved it, so, for now that is my favorite.
