Prior to our Utah trip we visited the Butterfly Pavillion with Erin, Lacey and their kiddos. We had a fun time. Kennedy even dared to touch the tarantula and I was freaking out being a little too close to it.
We first went to Grand Junction for a small little Voorhies get-together. The weather was perfect. We relaxed, rode bikes, chatted and ate. The guys went mountain biking and we all had a fun time watching the kids play. Sophie fell asleep on a walk with Grandma. We love having Mark and Kristen just four hours away in beautiful GJ. I got to ride back to Salt Lake with Rob and Rachel and we had a really nice time talking and driving.
Kennedy, Adalaide and Emily gathering around Grandma as we all relaxed in their front yard.
Kennedy got to go with Syd to her ward Halloween Party. She borrowed a Dorothy costume from Syd and thought she was pretty cool. She even brought home a bag of Syds dress up to Grandmas while we were in town so she wouldn't miss prime dress up time.
Sydney as a Fancy Kung Foo chick and Kennedy as Dorothy. Both costumes made by our favorite little seamstress, Grandma Colleen.
Our cute little Sophie as she is usually seen, mouth open-tongue out.
I have been trying rice cereal and baby food with Sophie and she is a struggler. This is just what she does each time. She lets it sit on her tongue and looks horrified as she gags and spits it out. You would think this chunk would be excited about food but she is just stickin to milk for now.
We had a fun visit at Uncle Tyler's work Engh Gardens on 7th east just north of 90th s. They have a cute Pirate Ship for the kids to play on and a little hay bale maze. We took some fun pics and let Ken roam around with her Uncle. There was a lot to see and do, if you live in the area it a fun free Halloween activity.

After visiting my good friend Kristen's Moms new house in Daybreak (beautiful home and such a cute little neighborhood) I swung by and checked out the progress of the temple. I guess the open house will be at the first of January. I was hoping to check out the Draper temple too but we never got around to it.
To finish it off we made some yummy spiderweb cupcakes, the only Halloween craft/project I have done with Kennedy this year, aside from pre-school stuff.
We had a nice flight home and even sat next to Larry Millers VP of his automotive department. He was so sweet with the kids and super helpful, I worried when we sat down that he would be sooo bugged with us but he was really chatty and nice. I am sure the 4 vodkas he had really helped cope with my crazy girls. He even gave me his card and said if we are ever in town he would love to get us some Jazz tickets, Mike was so happy to hear that!

Unfortunately we woke up this morning to both Sophie and Kennedy with nasty goopy pink eye and yucky colds.
Weigh in at the doc: Kennedy at 3 1/2 weighs in at 37 lbs
Sophie at almost 6 months weighs in at 17 lbs

I love the cupcakes. That's quite the edible and craft accomplishment.
