New House

Mike and I have bought ourselves a house. We move in the end of December/first of January. So excited!

The following is far too much detail about the house..mostly for family.

The picture to the left is of the bathroom upstairs for the girls to share. There are two bedrooms upstairs with little tiny doors in the rooms leading to small little secret play areas...that pretty much locked in the sale for Kennedy.

This bathroom is our master, next to the bath is the shower. We love the tall sinks and that

that there are two of them.

This is the guest bathroom downstairs, we need to put a mirror up but otherwise it is ready to go. Love the sink!

This is the kitchen. I really like it but I am trying to convince Mike to have the cabinets painted white. I have always loved white kitchens. We plan on replacing the counter tops but

otherwise we really like it.

This is a pic of the great room. The door you see is the coat closet, to the left is the front door, so the window is looking out at our driveway/front yard. The ceilings go up two stories and it is very open. I plan on having the walls painted a darker tan and the molding white.

More of the great room. Off of the great room/dining room there is a door to the backyard. It isn't very big but we are hoping to be able to fit the trampoline and a play structure.

This is the fireplace, not really my style. I think we will change the mantle and surround to white with some stone. The fireplace also goes up two stories which makes it tricky but if we can figure out a good design for it I think it could be really cool. So the master bedroom is on the main floor down the hall behind the fireplace. There is also a door there that leads to the basement. Down the hall with the master is also the laundry room and then a mudroom that attaches to the garage.

This is the front of the house. In the back there are two entrances to the house that go into the dining area and the master bedroom. There is a large patio that spans the width of the house in back. Mike and my Dad will be finishing the basement after I have little Finn. The plan is to get two bedrooms, a bathroom, a playroom/workout area and a large family room with a mini kitchen and banquet eating area, also a little storage. Eventually we hope to finish the area above the garage to create a theater/game room. The garage is a three car which is by far the best feature according to Mike.
