I can't believe Christmas is over, to be honest I am a bit relieved. This year I felt very busy and overwhelmed (took on wayyy to much). So next year I may do away with neighbor/friend gifts and Christmas Cards and may not volunteer to be the mom in charge of the Kindergarten Christmas party. The party went well and Ken had a great time. It's so fun to see her in class with her friends. Our doughnut party went well, we had a lot of people show up and made almost 200 doughnuts. It was such a hit that Mike had to make a bunch at work that week too. We were able to buy Christmas for two kids from the Salvation Army tree, it was fun to see the girls pick out toys for the kids and for Ken to make sure they had "cute outfits". The girls loved reading and opening a Christmas book each night and we had fun watching lots of Christmas movies. We sent Santa an email to see if he could come a day early for us so we could head to Utah early and he was very kind to do so. He even left us a bell from his sleigh and the reindeer pooped in our yard.

Our pictures are a bit out of order but here are a couple of the costumes from the Nativity play we did with the
Loosli cousins. Kennedy was an angel and Sophie ended up being Mary. Leave it to our family to turn the most sacred of events into a circus. Sophie yelled "
yee-haw" when
getting on the donkey (Sydney) and had a very spirited dismount...not bad for a pregnant woman. She did get very serious when she was kneeling by the baby
Jesus, which was very sweet. Parker
represented the
wise men and presented the baby
Jesus with a box full of silly bands (not sure how they got in the box...BOBBI!). We got it all on video and had a good laugh, although I don't think the nativity play is meant to be a comedy but nevertheless....

I was able to get together with my cousins and their kids one of the days we were in Utah. It was so much fun to see everyone. My cousin Chad brought
pvc pipe and darts and set up the whole gym with table
barricades and everything. The kids, moms, grandmas and cousins had a great time playing war against each other.

Mike and I had a great Christmas. Mike got a new suit, a few pairs of shoes, a sleeping bag, new watch etc. I got a large food processor (cant wait to make huge batches of salsa), a Victoria Secret gift card (let's be honest who was that gift for?), a sleeping bag, two pairs of boots, new running shoes and my favorite gift was a day at the
Aveda spa where I get to pick three treatments to have done! Our family gift was the X box
Kinect. We tried it out last night and it is hysterical! If anyone has one we would love suggestions for games to get, we just have the game it came with.

The girls were spoiled rotten this year. They both got American girl dolls and some clothes for each of them. Sophie got a Jesse and Woody doll that she has been attached to ever since. Kennedy got games, a tea set, clothes, shoes etc. Their big gift was for both of them and it is a
FurReal horse. It is pretty freaky. It moves it's head, eats a carrot, blinks it's eyes and moves it's ears and tail. When the girls sit on it, it clip clops and moves it's head up and down like it's walking. They LOVE it! We didn't take it to Utah and Sophie missed it so much we had to watch video of it periodically just so she could see it.

Here is our little horse Butterscotch. Leave it to Sophie to make the goofiest face ever. The baby in the background is Simone, the little girl we watch (daughter of our friend). Both grandparents spoiled the girls. They got a new book, game and pj's from the
Voorhies and Grandma
Loosli made them both adorable little nightgowns and a TON of darling clothes for their dolls. They each got books from cousins on both sides- we exchange books instead of toys with cousins.

My brother Blake drew this picture of James and Janice for me to give them for Christmas, they loved it! We kept busy in Utah with sledding, playing with cousins, various traditions with both sides of the family, family pictures, New Years party's and eating WAY more than we should have!!! Thank you to everyone for the sweet gifts and for putting up with us and our crazy kids while we were in town, we miss you already!
