We have moved into our rental home in Greeley and we are in the perfect location. .5 miles from the library, same distance to the rec center, running/biking trail 15 steps from our front door, 10 minutes to Mike's hospital and 30 minutes drive to my buddy Erin's house. Life is good.
Mike doesn't start work until Monday so we have had a lot of family togetherness time and time with our friends Erin and Spencer. It's nice to be in our own place and to have our stuff back from storage. In order to fully regain my sanity though we need the following things; Mike needs to work (love him but 24/7 is a bit much), Kennedy needs to be in preschool and dance or gymnastics (she is bored and we are at each other's throats), Sophie needs to start talking 6 months ago- she will be 2 in April and only says a handful of words (I think I will be taking her to the school district speech therapist to see what they can do for her), I need a membership to a gym or rec center, we need the Internet and cable (so sad but true, I NEED MY HGTV).
Here are a couple of gems from Kennedy:
At the library (where I am on a temporary card that only allows me to check out one thing at a time- so annoying! I need mail with my name and new address on it immediately) Kennedy introduced herself to a boy playing in the kids area and then said "this is my little sister Sophie, she is almost two and very attractive." I burst out laughing. "What mom, she is attractive to me."
Then Ms. Kennedy was playing in the living room and pretending to be an orphan, I overheard her say to her imaginary playmate, "Yes I am an orphan, my mom died and my dad was incinerated." I have no idea where she learned that word but Mike and I laughed about it the rest of the night.

Holy Cow! Kennedy KILLS me! What a kid! I am so glad that you are getting settled- sounds like a great location. Ha- I SO know what you mean about Mike going back to work- love it!
Incinerated?!! HA HA HA! Wonder if she was going for incarcerated? Because, you know, that would be a word that a four year old would be much more like to use. Oh wait. Your daughter is hilarious. Love her. Can't believe you're finally here! FOR GOOD!!!
I think maybe Kennedy is stealing all of Sophie's vocabulary. I keep cracking up thinking about the incinerated thing. Paints quite a picture.
Ken is a doll. I love her spunkiness and wish she was close enough to come play. Yay for getting settled! I love your new pictures!
I taught her that. Incinerated for Mike and awesome for uncle Ben....just seemed right.
