Preschool

We tried out a new little drop in preschool this week. It is called Prairie preschool and takes place on conservation land. This week they were talking about prairie music that animals and insects make. We got to take a wagon ride out to the prairie and listen to the crickets, birds and other animals. Ken had a great time. Then today the kids came over for preschool at our house. Our theme was community helpers. We talked about firemen, teachers and doctors and then we got to make mailboxes and letters to put in the boxes. The letters included the kids practicing their names, copying this weeks letter and gluing a black box on a letter for our color. The kids did a great job. Ken was a bit wacky and had moments of being the class clown and driving me crazy. I hope she doesn't act like that at the other homes. Then the girls ran upstairs and played dress up for the rest of the time. I am so glad we joined the group. Yesterday we went to the cutest story time and then I took the girls swimming. I am up to three miles in my 10k training and it is feeling good. I am excited for the race at the beginning of November.

I secretly loved teaching the preschool, I miss teaching a lot and even though these kids are a lot smaller than what I am use to, it was really fun! We are looking forward to Conference this weekend (if you didn't get the conference packet from me, for kids, leave your email and I will gladly send it to you), possibly a drive to Aspen to check out the leaves changing and a free ballet concert downtown portraying rain forest animals. Also, Mike is taking me out for a birthday dinner and I can't wait to have some time with him, we may also try to squeeze in a mountain bike ride somewhere, I've got to try out my new wheels.

By the way, is anyone else as sick of the election as I am? I am so sick of the commercials, the controversies, the rumors, the lies, the promises etc. I don't know who to vote for. I guess I am more for McCain but I am not thrilled about either. The economy is freakin me out, especially since we are doing student loans right now..yikes! I just hope whoever does win can help us out of this mess. I have tried to be an educated voter and read up on the candidates but how do we know what we can believe?

Summer, if you want advice on the candidates listen to talk radio. Neither of these candidates are ideal, but McCain is definitely a better choice. When it comes to electing supreme court judges mccain will elect conservatives. Barack Obama is one scary dude. It has nothing to do with race. He's very socialistic in his ideas and is associated with some very scummy people. Cute preschool and have fun this weekend. Thanks for the conference packet! =)

Nice job on the running! The prairie preschool sounds so cute--and like it was so much fun. Love the apple sweater vest! :)

As for the election...I'm an NPR fan for my info.
