New Kids On The Block

This morning I was watching the Today show and as luck would have it I happened to be watching the day the New Kids reunited and performed! They sang the classic love ballad "Tonight", you know "La la la la la la tonight". It was too weird to see these thirty-somethings up there trying to dance and sing songs that probably weren't that great even back when I was in elementary school. You better believe that I had New Kids folders for my trapper keeper, trading cards and posters in my room. I can also remember rushing home to my friend Tiff's house because her mom recorded the New Kids on Oprah for us. We watched it over and over and would rewind parts with Jordan talking because hello...he was totally the hottest one! And so for all the other New Kids On The Block fans I hope you are as excited about them reuniting as I am.

I was sheltered and "knew" of the NKOTB but wasn't allowed to watch or listen to their music. My husband however was and has since educated myself and children.

We were watching the Today show as well and I think vince thinks he's 16 again! LOL

Well, I thought I was the only one who enjoyed their reunion. haha. I was a Joey fan though. :) I thought it was scary that I still know the words to all of their songs. I was only in elementary school when I was a huge fan, it's amazing what you remember from that age. :)

I mentioned that you had this on your blog at Mackenzie's wedding with mixed ages at the table and those of us from one generation were so incredulous that those from another generation had never heard of NKOTB. We all went on and on about our NKOTB trapper keepers, folders, posters, magazines, etc. However, when asked what songs NKOTB did, all we could come up with was Hangin' Tough!
