A little slice of heaven

Me, Kristin and Melissa. I've known Kristin since I was in fourth grade and I met Melissa in college at SUU. We were all college roommates and have been close ever since.

Girls weekend #4 was absolute bliss! Me and two of my best friends Kristin and Melissa spent 4 days and three nights in Deer Valley at Stein Erickson Lodge. It was heaven! We left husbands and kids and had a weekend of relaxation, food and more relaxation.

It was so nice to sleep in, lounge around, talk, watch movies and read. We did a bit of shopping and a lot of eating! We always have such a fun time and we are always a bit sad to see it all come to an end. I must admit though, I was happy to see my cute little redheads and to kiss my sweetie Mike again.

It snowed and snowed and snowed, which really put a damper on all of our outdoor plans of running, hiking, biking etc. JUST KIDDING... we had absolutely no plans of the sort. This was our chance to relax and unwind as moms and to recharge and I have to say it definitely did the trick. The only sad part was that I was in Utah and I didn't see any family at all...have to catch ya next time I guess.

Trip highlights:

1. pedicures at the Vietnamese salon...always hard to understand the people working on us which is always hilarious to us.

2. Stein Erickson Sunday brunch...I am STILL full.
3. Reading without interruption, watching and laughing at The Real Housewives of New York City and watching chick movies.
4. Sharing funny husband and kid stories that had us laughing for hours.
5. Enjoying the beautiful snowy view from our room.
