Little bit of this a little bit of that

Here are some pictures of what we have been up to in Utah. Here is Kennedy on the carousel at the Zoo, the only picture I got of her looking at me and not at herself in the mirror. Below is a picture of Niki, Shelton, Casey, Sena and Kennedy at the lake at Daybreak. We went to feed the ducks, saw one duck and froze the rest of the time.
Emma at her fondue birthday party.

Above is Sophie and Grace at Copperton Park and below is Sophie and her Grandpa Loosli.

My little Sophie has lived on the swing in my mom's backyard. Below is Emma opening her crab she got from Sydney for her birthday.

Parker at our Memorial Day bbq and Kennedy as dirty as can be after having a smore and playing outside all day long.

Mckay and Kennedy at Hogle Zoo.

A hikin' we will go

Kennedy peeking in on Kinzie (Ben's girlfriend). She loved her and followed her around a lot of the trip.

Our first hike was to upper pools and it was a beautiful hike. I was so proud of my little Kennedy. She was such a good little hiker and stayed up in front the whole time. I was packin Sophie on my back and was soooo hot but it was still a lot of fun and a nice hike. At the top of the hike the kids played in the water, had some treats and found some frogs giving each other a "special hug".
I love the above picture of Kennedy and Bennett, it pretty much explains the entire trip. So darn cute!

Below are my little Sophie's toes playing the water.

Me and my girls.

Playing in the water on our way back from a hike.

Bennett taking a break from throwing rocks. Below we have Sena, Kennedy, Casey and Bennett. The kids could have played in the mud and thrown rocks all day.

"I am not freaking out at all about the squirrel that is by me in this picture look at this casual smile on my face."

The heat just pooped out my little Sophie, it's hard being pushed in a stroller.
Kennedy, Savannah and Kinzie.

Zions begins...

When we arrived in Zions it was beautiful but hot as it could be so the kids wanted to get in the pool right away. I stayed with Sophie and napped while Jenna took the kids to the pool. It was interesting to have all 5 of us in a room and 6 on the last night when we added Sydney to our room, but it worked out shockingly well. We had some great laughs at night when Bennett snored like an old man and for a while I thought it was Jenna before I started to giggle and realized that she was awake trying to get him to stop. Sophie thought it was so exciting to be in her little crib in the same room with everyone, which made her sleeping patterns interesting but it all worked out.
We found this great park and the kids had a great time running from the playground to the food and back again. It had beautiful views and a grill area where we had some yummy smores. Rachel was great entertainment while she played red rover with the kids and I think they all had a great time. Below is Sydney, Sophie and Kennedy.
The kids.

St. George

Before we met up with the Voorhies family in Zions, Jenna and I took the kids to St. George for a day. We had a fun drive down talking and laughing at the kids. Kennedy confessed her love for Bennett and he tried to look straight ahead but couldn't help but smile. Our hotel ended up being the deal of the century and the kids loved the pool. Above Bennett and Kennedy are having a great time at a splash park, trying to cool off in the heat. Sophie stuck to the swing...which she LOVED.
The real low point of the trip was when we went to a Dinosaur Museum, run by dinosaurs (not one worker under 90 years old). It was so dumb and such a waste of money BUT by the time we got to the informational video Jenna and I were laughing so hard we were getting stares from the one other couple that was in the movie. It was so nice to travel with a good friend that could laugh off the misfortunes of the trip. We had so much fun together!

Luckily the kids had a great time at the museum and didn't realize how completely lame it was.

Just Dance

Above we have the mermaids, frogs and sailors.
Mya, Kristen, Reagan and Kennedy.

For Kennedy's recital I left the memory card in our laptop which was with Mike in Kentucky so I could neither take pictures or video.
I was so bummed! But I do have wonderful friends in the ward that shared some of their pictures with me. In both pictures Kennedy is on the right. The bottom is of the girls in her class and the top picture is of ALL the girls in our ward that performed in the recital. They all did so well. Remind me NEVER to be a back stage mom again, what a zoo! Many of the moms were going to get a drink after to calm their nerves. I went home and took a nap I was sooooo tired! Ken did great and didn't have to watch her teacher in the frog dance. I was very proud.

Awhhhhh

What a little sweetie! Sophie got her first tooth and I think more are coming because she is not a happy camper. I think she is pretty close to walking and she is taking to a sippy cup like a champ. No words yet but she is close to saying Ma ma and actually knowing it is me.
